The second focused workshop – autumn 2011
April 24, 2024The concentrated workshops of the Tehran school, compared to the free workshops, are held in longer periods of time – usually six months – and in a more intensive manner.
Concentration in these courses has two general forms:
First, each course has a theme, such as mise-en-scène or character or modern theater or…
During these courses, masterclasses and sub-workshops and other events are designed for the students around a theme, and at the end of the course, the students become more familiar with the central theme from different angles – for example, mise-en-scene. For example, mise-en-scene in architecture, mise-en-scene in visual arts, mise-en-scene in the city, mise-en-scene in cinema, etc. are masterclasses held by renowned experts in each field in these focused workshops.
Second, in these courses, directing and acting students prepare theaters for performance under the supervision of their permanent instructors. At the end of the course, these projects compete with each other in a final that usually lasts for ten days and are evaluated by the students themselves and the guests of the workshop. These theaters are also capable of public performance in professional spaces.
Thirdly, in this conference, students are involved in theater work for many days of the week in a completely concentrated way. including participating in classes, workshops, training sessions, consultations, etc.
